Went to the gallery hop for a bit last night. Shilpi had a whole exibit at Alphalha’s!

Outside were these crazy girls prettying themselves.

Then we walked around downtown a bit and checked out a couple of the other galleries. The gallery at 3rd street had some really cool pieces for sale, but the one I wanted was sold out!

Today, I got lost on the way to the coffee shop (as I frequently do). But this time it didn’t suck because I found this absolutely beautiful cemetary. I thought, “I have got to come back and photograph this sometime.”

So then while kicking around at the coffee shop, I randomly check http://www.dpchallenge.com, and guess what the topic of this week’s challenge is …

So I rushed back over, and took about 50 pictures (because I’m not very good and need a good selection to weed through).

After finding the one I liked the most, I played with the color levels a bit: washed out everything but the house, and then muted it a bit to make it feel ‘right.’ It actually turned out much better than I thought it would, considering this is the first real dive into digital photo editing I’ve attempted.
